Encoder Distribution for Heidenhain

The agreement consolidates the close working relationship that the two companies have enjoyed over several years where LG Motion has built the German manufacturers’ precision position encoders and measurement equipment into standard and customised positioning and motion control systems.

Basingstoke UK, July 2009: LG Motion Ltd, the Basingstoke based positioning systems designer and manufacturer has been appointed as an official ‘Encoder Distributor’ for Heidenhain (GB) Ltd. The agreement consolidates the close working relationship that the two companies have enjoyed over several years where LG Motion has built the German manufacturers’ precision position encoders and measurement equipment into standard and customised positioning and motion control systems.
Heidenhain relies on its specialist distributors to provide expertise across many of its market areas including machine tools, metrology, motion control and automated machinery. Encoder Distributors are carefully selected to provide an integration service for motion control related products, adding value to Heidenhains’ wide range of precision encoders used for high accuracy linear, rotary and angle position measurement. Linear encoders with accuracy specifications from the micron to sub-micron level and rotary encoders with accuracy down to seconds of arc are typically built into motorised positioning tables and stages - providing the fundamental position and speed related feedback used in high performance servo positioning systems.
Encoder Distributors benefit from rigorous product training and detailed technical support to ensure that Heidenhains’ products built into custom and standard positioning systems completely meet the specification requirements for each application.
