MiniTec News 2009 brochure shows that excellence is in the detail (for machine framing systems)

Basingstoke UK, November 2009: At regular intervals MiniTec publishes its ‘News’ brochure – a small but important information resource that covers new products that have been recently added to its extensive Profile System range of machine framing and building components. Available in hard copy or as a downloadable PDF, its main aim is to bring machine designers and systems integrators up to speed with these new and often exciting products which continue to flow from MiniTec’s design department and may otherwise be overlooked as the range expands.
The latest MiniTec News includes new products as seemingly insignificant as end caps, hinges, seals and brackets but a closer look at the detail reveals a more effective mounting method or a faster assembly time, a reduced footprint or increased durability. These feature improvements provide machine builders and systems integrators with added value and improved ergonomics in their own products, ultimately contributing towards higher production rates, faster time to market and overall reduced cost of ownership - values that are aptly represented by Minitec’s ‘save time’ slogan.
Also included in the latest issue is a new range of small bearing rails and slides for materials handling or measuring devices, new miniature handwheel slides for adjustment of machine components such as safety sensors or switches, and a complete centre driven and space saving 3-wheel drive unit for conveyor systems. There is even a simple cup holder that attaches to MiniTec profile to make sure that an operator on a MiniTec workbench can enjoy a ‘cuppa’ - and it includes the mug with a MiniTec logo. The MiniTec News brochure is available from MiniTec on 01256 365605 or via the website at www.minitec.co.uk.
The brochure complements a number of application specific publications and a general 372 page catalogue available for download or in hard copy; in addition and as a fundamental part of the design process for the range, all the new products are available using MiniTec’s on-line and off-line CAD support tools that makes building, specifying and purchasing Profile System straightforward.
MiniTec’s Profile System range is based around both extruded aluminium and formed stainless steel profiles and is characterised by the unique Powerlock® fastening system that allows rapid assembly with no pre-machining and which allows faster assembly times than competitive systems with much reduced profile wastage and profile re-usability.
The range includes a wealth of ancillary components from wheels, hinges and panels to linear actuators complete with motors, drives and controls. The flexibility built into the range allows MiniTec’s Profile System to be adapted for the structural base and functional components for safety and guarding systems, test and assembly stands, workbenches, conveyor and parts handling machinery, automated manufacturing and test equipment, special fixtures and display consoles, multi-axis linear systems, and even complex production assembly and test plant.
