New Thomson WhisperTrak™ linear actuators are available from Heason Technology

Slinfold, UK – January2012: Thomson's newly announced WhisperTrak™ linear actuator is available from UK authorised distributor Heason Technology. With exceptionally quiet operation and minimal installation footprint, the 'library quiet' WhisperTrak is available for stroke lengths to 500 mm and has a powerful dynamic and static load rating to 2000 N. Its elegant sealed case design particularly suits positioning applications in personal mobility and patient care equipment as well as home and office automation - where quiet operation, long maintenance-free life, and stylish compact form are important requirements. With a sound level rating of only 45 dB and its inherently safe self-locking acme screw drive system, the WhisperTrak has both CE and UL 6060-1 certification and is ready for use in the global medical electrical market.
The new actuator is the latest addition to Thomson's impressive linear actuator range from Heason Technology. It is available in 12 and 24 VDC versions with five standard stroke lengths, in 100 mm increments, up to 500 mm - with special lengths on request. The stainless steel extension tube and seal arrangement, durable plastic casing, internal mechanics and external surfaces are all built for harsh environment use. With its IP67 protection class rating, the actuator is suitable for in-process washdown and may also be fully submerged when not in operation. Options include electronic limit switches, anti rotation mechanisms and mounting adapters.
Heason Technology's works closely with Thomson through its authorised distributor status and can facilitate application customised versions of the WhisperTrak and other Thomson Electrak series linear actuators.
