Allied Motion's new DynaMax 25 coreless motor has best-in-class torque and power performance
- Coreless brushless motor uses innovative copper foil rotor technology and neodymium magnets for exceptional dynamic performance
Ash Vale, Surrey, UK – December 2011: Allied Motion's new DynaMax 25 coreless motors feature an innovative, low inertia, copper foil rotor and a rare earth neodymium magnet system for unprecedented power density, best-in-class torque to size ratio, and extremely high acceleration performance. Available in the UK from Mclennan Servo Supplies, the 25 mm diameter 12 or 24 VDC motor has a starting torque rating of 400 mNm, nominal torque of 35 mNm, an acceleration response of just 4 msec, and a nominal speed of 7700 rpm.
The DynaMax 25 is aimed at applications where compact size, rapid start-stop and smooth speed performance are prime requisites: With the optional OE22 high-resolution 2000 ppr encoder, the DynaMax 25 will be a great match for high accuracy/high throughput positioning and robotics such as semiconductor, electronic or medical equipment fabrication, whilst encoderless versions will suit high dynamic use in precision pumps and valves, specialised hand tools and miniature actuators.
The motor is designed for long life operation with a carbon brush system and its coreless design provides zero motor cogging for excellent speed regulation as well as very high efficiency and low weight which will suit portable battery powered applications.
A range of planetary gearboxes are available for use with the DynaMax 25 for output torques to 4.5 Nm. Further options include customised shafts and mounting configuration, custom winding and built-in spark suppression, alternative leads and connector interfacing .
Mclennan works closely with a small number of global motion control manufacturers such as Allied Motion and has assembled an impressive range of DC brushed and brushless, stepper and servo drive technologies together with motion controls; and using its own in-house design and manufacturing capability offers complete integrated mechatronics assemblies with customised mechanics and other power train components.
