Heason Technology Ltd has worked in partnership with USA motion specialists Allied Motion Inc, to deliver 700 mm diameter brushless and frameless torque motors for UK defence manufacturer QinetiQ as an integral part of its Towed Array Handling System (TAHS). With a separate rotor and stator design delivering a continuous stall torque of almost 7 kNm and maximum torque approaching 24 kNm, the custom built Megaflux series motor directly drives a large winch used to deploy sonar array systems equipment on submarines.Read Full Article
